Ces deux grands tableaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 ex\u00e9cut\u00e9s en original pour servir de base \u00e0 la creation de deux bas-reliefs en bronze install\u00e9s dans un immeuble mythique de New York.<\/p>\n

Ce gratte-ciel est l\u2019ancien immeuble Helmsley (maintenant simplement au 230 Park Avenue) situ\u00e9 en haut de Park Avenue et au dessus du Terminus de Grand Central. Il fut construit pour \u00eatre le si\u00e8ge du R\u00e9seau Central de New York dans les ann\u00e9es 1920 and est un monument class\u00e9 Art-D\u00e9co. Cet immeuble a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9nov\u00e9 entre 2004 et 2010 par les promoteurs Monday Properties, en association avec le groupe d\u2019architectes BBB. Les bronzes ont remplac\u00e9 les anciens panneaux annuaires qui \u00e9taient dans des cadres eux m\u00eames class\u00e9s et situ\u00e9s dans le grand foyer d\u2019entr\u00e9e en marbre et en bronze.<\/p>\n

Utilisant les deux tableaux originaux comme base, les bronzes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9es par l\u2019entreprise de sculpture Excalibur Bronze de Brooklyn, par une m\u00e9thode traditionelle de fonderie de \u201ccire perdue\u201d. Ils mesurent 4.5 m\u00e8tres par 2.2 m\u00e8tres. Ils d\u00e9peignent le train car\u00e9n\u00e9 dessin\u00e9 par Dreyfus, de la 20th-Century Limited, tir\u00e9 par une locomotive Hudson devant un arri\u00e8re-plan all\u00e9gorique de l\u2019horizon New Yorkais qui inclut l\u2019immeuble au 230 Park Avenue. Les toiles originales sont accroch\u00e9es aux murs de la salle du conseil des promoteurs.<\/p>\n
